Mortgage Rates December 10, 2008

The 30 yr FNMA 5.0% MBS moved silently and aggressively today closing at $101.33 tacking on a gain of .34bp.  Lenders were slow to pull the trigger on pricing and did not release improved rates.  Late today (Wednesday 12/09/10) the House Passed the Auto Bailout by of vote of 233 Yea’s, on to the Senate. The Dow posted modest gains of 70.09, finding it difficult to break the New 9K resistance.  Thursday should prove to be another interesting day in the market, with the Auto Bill near final approval, and homeowners still waiting for word on 4.5% mortgage rates.
